Enjoy blooming flowers, swaying palms, and one of the world’s most spectacular and renowned golf courses, The Teeth of the Dog meandering along the coral coast below the cliffs adjacent to the artists’ village of Altos de Chavon, where a primeval forest river rushes into the Caribbean Sea.

All this is in Casa de Campo the world famous holiday village and the most famous golf destination in La Romana, the Dominican Republic.

This paradise is on 28-squarekilometres and outranks any existing 5-star resort. Two-storeyed casitas are generously spread over the entire area, offering 300 guest rooms (interior design by Oscar de la Renta), 150 luxury villas, tennis and polo courts, clay-pigeon shooting, an enormous marina – and as mentioned above – the artists’ village of Altos de Chavon. Many guests prefer to go to Altos de Chavon in the evenings, where world stars can be marvelled at in the Amphitheatre and where Trattorias and pubs invite you to relax. A Four Seasons Hotel will soon be attracting views and visitors to the centre of the resort.

Casa de Campo, which was highlighted already in the first Golf and Travel Book (in 1986, LN-Buchverlag (Publishing Company), Author: Holmar Knoerzer) as the „Most Complete Resort of the Caribbean“ has reached world glory due to its three top-golf courses on the coral coast. In particular the “Teeth of the Dog” has commanded respect of many a golf player. It was designed by the renowned American golf architect Pete Dye, who also designed the Links that is situated inland in Casa de Campo, where your ball has to cross landing runways of aeroplanes. P.B. Dye, son of the great master, conjured up the third champion of the resort above the cliffs of the Chavon River directly next to the artists’ village – you won’t find any more spectacular course.

A last word regarding the excellent service of the resort – shuttles are available due to the big area of the resort, but you can also rent buggies that are equipped with light and signal horn. Casa de Campo offers plenty of warm hospitality and is looking forward to welcoming you!
