Château Ropice Golfhotel & Sportresort *****
The particular 5 Star Golfhotel & Sportresort at the border triangle
Luxury Real Estate and Castle-Traditions
A luxurious golf hotel & sports resort is being established on a 200 hectare area of the Eastern Czech Moravia at the border triangle of the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia where, once more, bears and wolves live, where the mountain ranges of the Beskides and the Carpathians meet, where the River Oder rises, where panoramic nature is combined with historic castle and baroque architecture, and where one of the most famous golf courses, the Beskyd Golf Course, is located.
The Chateau Ropice was built as a fortress in the 13th century and converted into a baroque castle in the 17th century, and is located at the border triangle of the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. The Ropicanka fl ows through the town of Ropice which celebrated its 700th anniversary in 2005. The breathtaking landscape features the up to 1600 m high Beskid Mountains, extensive forests and idyllic valleys.
Over the last few years, after the Czech Republic discovered golf as a tourism economic impact factor, this area has been developed into a true golf-eldorado. The Ropice Golf Course at the Beskide Mountains was established and has since 2004 been developed into an excellent 18-hole championship course (5823 m, par 72) featuring club house, driving range and 6 practice holes – it has qualifi ed to host the Czech Open within the next fi ve years, the Czech National Open Championships. The golf course was designed and woven into the natural landscape by the Austrian Hans Georg Erhardt, who is regarded one of the best European golf course architects.
The 100 hectare area of the golf club is bordering the 200 hectare area of Chateau Ropice. And here, on historic land and because only the best is good enough, the Chateau Ropice & Golf Hotel Sports Resort is being established.
The Resort-Project and its Development
The legally valid development plan for the exclusive golf hotel and resort schedules two development phases, of which the fi rst phase is already being realized: three historic buildings adjacent to the castle are being renovated and developed into a 5-star area featuring restaurant and gastronomy garden, 12 apartments, and 6 guest rooms. They will be opened on 1 May 2008 at the beginning of the golf season – also as a pre-opening of the main castle building and the new hotel.
The second development phase schedules the renovation of the main castle and the development of the new golf hotel featuring 96 luxurious and exclusively furnished rooms and a “Private Wing” with 56 apartments and condominiums – to be opened in May 2009. The modern, open construction integrates attractive landscape elements and strengthens the historic structure of the buildings. The apartments and condominiums can be purchased by private investors. This also applies for the 165 villas (built on plots of at least 500 m2) and vacation apartment houses which are being constructed separately, but parallel to the second development phase of castle and hotel. 10 apartment houses will be ready on 1 January 2008, 6 show houses available already in 2007.
But the building measures alone are not completing this resort. Golf is going to set new standards, and Chateau Ropice – a four-season resort – is going to provide a wide range of sports, fi tness and entertainment facilities featuring a Spa & Medical Wellness area with every possible nature healing as well as medical treatments. The resort will provide a very attractive setting for events and congresses which will meet the highest standards of quality. Both castle and golf hotel will offer exquisite delicacies for discerning guests.
Spend your holidays in Chateau Ropice or make it your home at any time of the year – be pampered with luxury and comfort, true to the motto „First- Class Service for First-Class Guests“.
You may look forward to an unforgettable experience – we are certainly looking forward to welcoming you!
