In 1995, the owner, Brian DobbinIn 1995, the owner, Brian Dobbin, started the project of Humber Valley and in 2002 the fifi rst foundation stones were laid for the Humber Valley Resort. Villas and chalets were constructed and sold to international customers. The resort is located in a breathtaking mountain and valley scenery with lovely mixed forests almost directly at the Atlantic, only 20 min. from the international airport Deer Lake, and is home to the River Course, an 18-hole championship course which opened in 2006 and very soon was awarded “Best Canadian Course”.

The golf course measures 6.500 m, par 72, and was created by the renowned Canadian golf architect Doug Carrick. His layout superbly blends with the hilly terrain, meanders along the Humber River and offers golfers not only dramatic views over valley, river, and lake, but also calls for good tactics in navigating its hazards and 103 bunkers. It might easily happen that a moose will accompany your round. An excellent clubhouse is situated 120 m above the valley offering a magnififi cent view after an exceptional and unique round of golf.

With the opening of Found Spa in 2007, the Humber Valley Resort has developed into a four season resort and offers a variety of treatments and massages for ultimate relaxation. Accessibility by Air

Direct Astraeus Charter flights twice a week (Tuesday/Friday) from Gatwick/ England to Deer Lake/Newfoundland (non-stop flight will be an estimated 5 hours).

Two daily flights (Easyjet/30 euros) from Germany, Köln-Bonn, to Gatwick. Also Germanwings, Lufthansa, and British Airways fl y to Gatwick. The Humber Valley Resort is also within reach from the Canadian airports Montreal, Toronto, Halifax and St. John.

The Deer Lake Airport is merely 20 shuttle min. away from the Humber Valley Resort.
