Situated only 4-5 flight hours from cold, rainy Central Europe, supported by the magical powers of the Goddess of Isis, the Madinat Makadi Resort will soon be the land of the rising golf sun. Eight hotels and added resorts have already been established such as the first-class Jaz Makadi Star & Spa Resort, the Ibero Hotel & Resort, and the Sol Y Mar Resort offering top-class accommodation and restaurants as well as a wide variety of sports and leisure facilities, which so far are concentrating on water sports as well as volleyball, football, fitness and the Serena Spa.

The golf sun is now rising above breathtaking nature by the Red Sea. John Sandford, who also designed Taba Heights, is creating an outstanding golf course at the shores of the Red Sea. The resort is developed in accordance with the motto “Golf Complete” for 365 days including perfect weather and all year round golf. It is a course for golfers of all handicaps, also for those new to the game, offering best quality (English and German speaking management) according to the motto „Join us, learn and play golf“.

The driving range, three practice holes and a 9-hole Academy Course as well as a Golf Academy will already be available in November 2007. The 18-hole Championship Course Madinat Makadi will open in March 2008, a par 72, 6,880 m long course featuring lagoons and three salt water lakes connected by streams and waterfalls – a real champion! The golf course is surrounded by villas and bungalows, a residential area, where golf real estate can be purchased. Situated directly at the course, the club house and a new luxury hotel with 70 guest rooms and suites are the top of the cream.
